Module outline: Teaching Writing Skills is a challenge as writing skill itself is seen as the hardest and most complex form of language mastery. This module presents the strategies required to execute an effective lesson. It puts forward some challenges that will need to be overcome, and how to design appropriate writing activities to incorporate into your lessons.

Why teach and assess writing skills?
Writing an academic paper, a business e-mail, filling in a form, or texting a friend. These are all skills that could come across the path of your students. In this module we guide you through the principles and various kinds of activities that you can employ to help your students write purposefully.

By the end of this module, you will know:
